5 Causes of Hair Loss Except Alopecia Areata
Alopecia Areata is a medical condition where a person is losing hair in patches, or in case of severe form of the disease – all of the body hair. It is autoimmune disease, where a person’s own immune system attacks hair follicles making hair fall. The affected skin appears normal and smooth, with no scars. The hair around the patch is soft and with little or no color.
One of the most bothersome hair problems you will ever encounter is hair loss. The most prevalent cause of such condition is hereditary or androgenic alopecia. This is caused by the hormone Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which is a chemical by-product of testosterone. If testosterone gets converted into DHT in the scalp, this could lead to permanent pattern baldness .
Alopecia areata is just one cause of alopecia, or hair loss. Others include:
1. Traction alopecia – a condition that occurs when ponytails or tight braids put so much stress on the hair that it falls out. If this happens repeatedly it can cause scarring and root damage that will prevent hair from growing back.
2. Cicatricial alopecia – a group of related disorders in which inflammation destroys the hair follicles and replaces them with scar tissue. Also referred to as scarring alopecia, this cause of permanent hair loss is often seen in skin conditions such as discoid lupus erythematosus and lichen planus.
3. Androgenic alopecia – also called male-pattern or female-pattern baldness, a condition in which the growth phase of the normal hair cycle shortens, making hair more fragile. Over time hairs falls out easily leaving a characteristic pattern of thinning or baldness.
4. Trichotillomania – a mental condition in which people have an uncontrollable urge to pull out their hair. This can lead to patchy bald spots on the head.
5. Telogen effluvium – hair loss related to a change in the normal hair cycle. This may be caused by an emotional shock – such as the death of a loved one – or physical shock, such as high fever, illness or surgery.
An orderly cleaning of the hair is very beneficial in maintaining healthy, thick and strong hair. One should observe proper hygiene most especially in making the hair clean to promote overall good appearance and prevent fungal infections like dandruffs and scalp problems such as dry, flaky and oily scalp. Massaging the scalp in a regular basis can also be beneficial in hair loss prevention and vital to the hair as this encourages better blood circulation in the scalp to the hair follicles. The reason why Marbo Activator is so effective lies in its ingredients: Rosemary (Rosmarinus Officinalis) extract, Nettle (Urtica Dioica) Extract, Sage (Salvia Officinalis) Extract, Walnut (Juglans Regia) Seed Extract, Garlic (Allium Sativum) Extract, Chamomile (Matricaria Chamomilla) Extract, Birch (Betula Alba) Leaf Extract, White Willow (Salix Alba) Extract, Burdock (Arctium Lappa) Leaf Extract, Ivy (Hedera Helix) Leaf Extract. They positively influence the scalp and hair growth due to their antibiotic, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, making the products highly beneficial for your hair regrowth.
